The June 22, 2018 issue of the Texas Register includes several proposed rule changes, some of which affect Assisted Living Facilities. The draft proposed rules include amendments related to (1) the development of a new tracking system for violations, (2) assessment of administrative penalties of the more serious of those violations without the opportunity to correct, (3) development of rules for training those caring for Alzheimer's patients, (4) license fee and duration changes, and (5) a clarification regarding the frequency of inspections and surveys.
